Did you have an advent calendar as a kid? I don’t seem to remember having one, and as an adult living in the UK, I haven’t been overly fussed because I’m not a huge chocolate fan. But my wife LOVES them. She has no problem whatsoever eating a piece of chocolate from behind a numbered door at seven in the morning.
Last year, though, I got her an Inkvent calendar. That meant a little bottle of ink for her fountain pens, and that was very cool. Needless to say she won’t need that again for another five years.
But we thought: why not do a bookish one? I Heart Sapphic and Jae both do HUGE ones. We’re doing a smaller one, and we’re asking people to engage. That means we’re posting a question each day, and then we pick a random winner from the comments the following morning. It’s day 3 (sorry, I’m behind as usual) and the comments from day 2 were hilarious. Who knew there was such passive aggressive gift giving?
So, come on over and have a laugh and maybe win some cool stuff. We’re doing it on TikTok and Instagram, so you have a choice. Let’s use this month to connect, learn a little something about each other, and simply have a laugh.
